Log Books for Sharon School, Cramahe Township, No.9 Northumberland County. This material was contributed by Mr. A.T. Walker, age 93. Mar. 18, 1947 and compiled by Muriel McDonald Reddick.
This present brick school was built in the year 1860 or approximately near that time, by Mr. Jas. Stimers, grandfather of Keith Stimers.
The land was donated by Jas. Gray McDonald from the farm now owned by Lorne McDonald consisting of one acre or more. This placed the school opposite the church to form a nucleus for community life. It is situated on the slope of a beautiful fertile valley which supports many families and which is drained by Factory Creek flowing from Little Lake.
I have tried to assemble a list of the teachers who taught in this school. Mr. Walker probed back into his memory some eight-five years and with many reminiscences of each mentioned the following list.
