Lindsay Boy Listed Wounded

Lance-Corporal Joseph Bishop, son of Mrs. J. Bishop, of 80 St Patrick St. Lindsay has been wounded in action while serving in Germany according to word received by his mother here recently from the Directors of Records, Ottawa.

Lance-Corporal Bishop was married to the former Miss Dorothy Barnsden, of Brighton, England, shortly before being reported wounded in action on the Western front.

He met his bride while training in England.

Enlisting with the Dundas, Stormont and Glengarry Highlander's at Peterboro in September, 1941, Lance-Corporal Bishop was sent overseas in March, 1942. Before going overseas he trained at Camp Borden, Kingston and Peterboro.

Prior to being reported wounded while serving in Germany, he served with the forces in France, Belgium and in Holland.
