Gnr. Holland [Roland] Lawrence Blackburn, a son of Mrs. Blackburn, 50 Russell St. was among the Lindsay boys to return Tuesday. He enlisted in Lindsay and spent some three and a half years overseas. Gnr. Blackburn's wife was formerly Miss Alma Griffith.

He served with the Canadian army in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.
L/Bdr. Blackbourn arrived home on 3 July 1945 and received his discharge on 7 August 1945.
His home is at 28 King Street, Lindsay.
