Lindsay Boy is Killed in Action

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fox, of Whitby, have received word that her son, John Alex Dack, was killed in action in Germany on April 21st.

The young soldier, who was born in Brechin, Ont., a son of the late Mr. J. Dack, was for some time employed with Horn Bros. Woollen Co., in Lindsay, previous to enlisting. He trained with the Reserves in Lindsay and later trained at Petawawa. He landed in England on Jan. 1st, 1945 and was soon in action in Europe. Mr. Roy Fox, stepfather of the young lad, was at one time engaged with the Ashcroft Dairy in Lindsay.
