John T. Dayman enlisted 7 May 1941 at Lindsay, Ontario with the 45th Medium Bty, R.C.A. as a Gunner. He trained at Petawawa, Sussex (N.B.) and Tracadie (N.B.), and was sent overseas on 11 November 1941. He saw action in Normandy, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany, and returned home 22 November 1945. His discharge became effective on 11 January 1946. A clerk before his enlistment, John’s home is in Lindsay.
