Former Omemee boy wounded

Peterboro, July 25—L.-Cpl. Meryle Endicott, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Endicott, R.R. 1, Omemee, has been officially reported wounded in action in France, July 18, according to word received by his wife, formerly Gertrude Richie, who lives at 441 George Street S.


He enlisted in the Peterborough Rangers (C.A.) in April 1942, and went overseas in May, 1943. Several months later he was transferred to the S.D. and G. Highlanders. Before enlisting he was employed at the C.G.E.
