Bruce B. Fairman of Woodville, Ontario, enlisted for service with the Canadian Army on 6 March 1941.


He joined the Royal Canadian Dragoons and held the rank of Trooper.


Tpr. Fairman trained at Toronto (Ont.), Newmarket (Ont.), and at Camp Borden (Ont.).


He was promoted to L/Cpl, Cpl. and to Sergeant.


He was sent overseas on 9 November 1941. After further training in England, he saw action against the enemy in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.


While serving B. Fairman transferred from the R.C.D.’s to the R.C.E.M.E.


Sgt. Fairman arrived home from overseas service on 27 August 1945.


A bricklayer by trade, Bruce B. Fairman was in this employment prior to his war service. He is welcomed back to his home district, Woodville, Ontario.
