Gordon S. Frocking whose home is at 34 William St. N. Lindsay, enlisted in the Canadian Army on 3 July 1940.


He entered the S.D.G. Highlanders with the rank of Private. Private Frocking trained at Kingston (Ontario), Ottawa (Ontario), and Debert (N.S.).


He was promoted while serving to L/Cpl. and was sent overseas in July 1941. He saw action with the army against the enemy in France and was wounded there on 8 July 1944.


L/Cpl Frocking came home on 14 November 1944 and was given his discharge on 2 February 1945.
