Sgt. Lois Green Presumed on Gen. Eisenhower’s Staff

With the establishment in France of General Eisenhower’s headquarters, it is presumed Sgt. Lois Green of Toronto and Lindsay is one of the Canadian girls included among personnel, since she has been on his staff for some time.

The above are the words appearing below a picture of Sgt. L. Green which was printed in a recent Toronto paper and constitutes the latest available information as to Miss Green’s whereabouts.

Readers will recall that shortly before the start of the present invasion in Europe the Post carried an extensive review of Sgt. Green’s progress since joining the Canadian Women’s Army Corps.

Briefly for the benefit of those who didn’t read that account it stated that since joining the CWAC she had been stationed in Toronto in charge of personnel work and later proceeded overseas wherefrom it was thought she would be among the first women ever to be attached to an invading army.

Sunday (tomorrow) the CWAC plan to observe the third birthday of its inception and Sgt. Green together with many others from Lindsay may justly be proud of their contribution to the success and favourable operations of the corps in the cause of freedom.
