Hear Former Lindsay boy is casualty

An item of special interest to residents of Lindsay appears in the current issue of the Catholic Register and has to do with the death on active service of a former well-known Lindsay boy, Lt. William Anthony Groomes.

Lt. Groomes was a nephew of the late Mrs. B.J. Gough and received his early education at the Separate School and Collegiate Institute here after which he graduated in law and at the time of his enlistment was practicing his profession in the city of Mosse Jaw, Sask.

He met his death on active service in Italy on January 4, this year.
