44 Haliburton men are overseas now

Haliburton, Jan, 7. (PNS).—Haliburton has done splendid and so far 100 men from the village alone have enlisted and out of this number 44 are overseas.


No doubt when the list appears for Haliburton county it will almost reach the 300 mark. Besides this number the Haliburton platoon of "D” company, 2nd Midland Regiment, C.A. (R) have 40 member's and the list below are men in this reserve army, 27 from Haliburton village, 10 from Donald, three from Minden, 2nd Lt. R.J. Curry, Sgts. R. Tyler, W. J. Johnston, Cpls. Glen Austin, E. Sanderson, E.W. Austin, Ptes. J.B. Austin, E.W. Brown, B.A. Cowan, Mark Dean, C. E. Elstone, M.E. Harrison, H.V. Henderson, E.L. Howe, D.B. Iles, W. F. McElwain, M.H. McKnight, G.E. Porter, W.H. Sarginson, C.W. Tyler, A.C. Walling, S.E. Barjarow, R.T. Carnochan, G.I. Kellett, M. McKelvey, C.L.S. McKelvey, Lance Easton, C.V. Ventress, L.C. Ventress, W.P. Emmerson, E.J. Silbey, C.
