L-Cpl. Howden hockey player suffers wounds

Haliburton, Sept. 22nd (PNS) — Word has just been received in the village stating that Lance Corporal Bertram Howden, now of Peterboro and formerly of Haliburton, has been wounded in France.


Mr. and Mrs. B. Howden, parents of the injured boy, resided in this village for a number of years, before going to Peterboro.


Bertram was active in sports and was for a long time on the hockey team with which, he was recognized as a good player.


Exact details of his wounds are not available.
