Lloyd Hussey, Prisoner of Hun, Reported O.K.

It was announced on Sunday last at Cambridge St. United Church that Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Hussey have received word that their son, Gnr. Lloyd Hussey is alive and well.

Lloyd Hussey was taken a prisoner of war by the Hun at Dieppe. His parents and his wife have heard from him at different times and have also heard from him from indirect sources.

B 25180 Lloyd Wm. Hussey enlisted in Toronto 22 February 1940 with 2nd Field Co. Royal Can. Engineers. Married in April of 1940 to Olive Gould of Kirkland Lake. He left Toronto for overseas on 10 May 1940 and arrived in England 22 May 1940. He was taken German prisoner following Battle of Dieppe on 19 August 1942. Declared prisoner of war on 26 September 1942 at No. 26441 Stalag 8B (later changed to Stalag 344).
