Specialized in radar, Lindsay airman returns

Sgt. Harvey Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Johnston, of 27 Glenelg St. W., has arrived home from overseas on the liner “Pasteur”.


He enlisted in Toronto at Manning Depot and after a short time in Canada left for England where he took extensive training in Radar Schools. After finishing his course in England, he proceeded to France and Belgium in Sept. 1944.


During the time of his training in England, Sgt. Johnston visited Northern Ireland, Scotland and several coastal ports in England. He will report the latter part of September to No. 4 Release Centre in Toronto.
