Pte. J.G. Kelso, Son of Bobcaygeon couple killed

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kelso of Bobcaygeon, have been advised to the effect that their son, Pte. J.G. Kelso, 27, was killed in France on August 24.

Pte. Kelso enlisted with the Algonquin Regiment of Canada at Kirkland Lake in 1940. He has since transferred to another regiment. Much of his training was received in Newfoundland, going overseas from there in 1942.

Previous to enlisting, Pte. Kelso was employed with the Bankfield Gold Mining Co, at Sudbury.

Besides his parents, five brothers are left to mourn his loss.
