Pte. John G. Kelso, of Bobcaygeon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kelso, was killed in action in France on August 25. He enlisted in 1940 and after going overseas two years later transferred to the Royal Regiment. In addition to his parents, five brothers survive.
