James Kingsborough, 51 Melbourne St. has received two reports in regard to his son, Gnr. Alex Kingsborough. One report stating that the young soldier was wounded in action and the other stating that he was seriously ill.

Gnr. Kingsborough is a graduate of the Collegiate Institute at Lindsay and served with the Midland Regiment Reserves at Lindsay before enlisting. He received training in Kingston and Woodstock, going overseas in April 1940. In Italy he served as radio operator with the 92nd Field Battery and in letters home told of playing softball with several other Lindsay boys.
