Pilot Officer Lane is reported safe

Valentia, June 4 – Friends of FO Charles Hilland Lane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lane, 45 Badgerow Ave. Toronto, were glad to hear that he had landed safely in England May 12th after being liberated from a German prison camp.

He was born and educated at Valentia, and enlisted in July, 1940 graduated from the Guelph air station. He went overseas in January, 1943 and was reported missing in September 1944.

His youngest brother Pte. Bob Lane is also serving overseas.
