D.O. Mark of Cameron, Ont. enlisted for service on 10 September 1943. He entered the Royal Canadian Air Force with the rank of AC2.


Previous to his enlistment D.O. Mark was engaged in the teaching profession. He received his training at M.D. #2 Brandon (Man.), WETP St. John (N.B.), and #1 Wireless School, Montreal (Que.). He later served at #1 T.S. at Mount Hope, Ontario.


During this training D.O. Mark was promoted in turn to AC1 and LAC. He was stationed at Camp Borden, Ont., Moncton, N.B., Beberte, N.S., and Kingston, Ontario.


LAC Mark was given his discharge from active service on 1 September 1945. D.O. Mark is now living in Falconbridge, Ontario.
