Total of 839 Canadian War Prisoners Now Reported Liberated in Far East
Ottawa, Sept. 20—Defense Headquarters issued its ninth official list containing 189 names of Canadian prisoners released from Japanese camps in the Far East, bringing to 839 the number officially announced to date as liberated.
