Oakwood Boys Honoured

On Sunday Rev. F.R. Vanderburgh preached two inspiring sermons to fairly large congregations. Side roads are still far from being in good condition. At the morning service, two more of our lads who have joined His Majesty’s Forces were presented with Bibles from the Y.P.S. In the absence of the president of the society, Miss Beryl Webster made the presentation. Lloyd Anderson, son of C.D. Anderson, who is in the Air Force band in Toronto, and Steward Hicks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Noble Hicks who is taking his basic training for the Ordnance Corps at Kingston, were the two honoured. Pte. Ross Irwin of Kingston, was also present at the morning service.
