Sgt-Major Dominic O’Connor enlisted in the Canadian Army on 8 January 1942. He received his basic training at Peterborough and Petawawa, Ontario. He went overseas in April 1942 as a member of a Reinforcement Unit. He was transferred into the 56th Bty from Lindsay.
