LAC Roy Price enlisted in the RCAF on Friday 20 November 1942 at No. 1 Recruiting Depot, Toronto. He reported for active service at No. 1 “M” Depot, Toronto, on Thursday 29 April 1943.


He was posted to Long Branch (Ont), later to No. 1 “M” Depot for basic training, and to the Central Technical School, Toronto for WETP; to Lakeside Training Camp in August 1943.


Failing to make Air Crew after being wasked out, Roy Price was selected as an RT Operator by the Ground Crew Selection Board and posted to I & R and to No. 1 Wireless.


He graduated on Friday 18 December 1943 and after a special leave was posted to Y Depot, Halifax (Nova Scotia).
