L.P. Quibell whose home is 13 Albert Street S. Lindsay and whose pre-war occupation was lumberman enlisted in the Canadian Army on 23 June 1940. He served with the Infantry with the S.D.G. Highlanders and trained at Peterborough, Ottawa, Kingston, and Debert, N.S. He was sent overseas on 8 August 1941, and saw enemy action in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He arrived home 17 September 1945, and received his discharge on 27 October 1945.
