Pilot Officer Victor Sleep enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in December 1942. He received his training at Regina and Fort William and graduated at Brandon in January 1944. He then took a General Reconnaissance course at Summerside, PEI, graduating first in his class. He was then posted to the Bahamas.
