Harry Lorne Wilson enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers in Peterborough on 02 February 1941. Trained in Ottawa and Petawawa before transferring to the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corp. He attended trade school in Ottawa and Hamilton. He went overseas on 03 January 1942. He worked as a craftsman in Machine shop in England. In 1944 he connected with the Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineers.
