Description:
James Francis Wooldridge enlisted in the Hastings Prince Edward Regt on 11 March 1940 as a Private. He moved from Picton to Quebec and thence to Camp Borden while in Canada. He was sent overseas on 13 July 1940 and trained in the machine gun section. He transferred to the Ordnance Corp and then to the Forestry Corps. He suffered a broken leg while on coastal manoeuvres, and returned home on 25 February 1945. His discharge became effective on 07 September 1945. Wooldridge, who before his enlistment was a labourer, resides at 218 Kent St. W., Lindsay.
