Remember when:

*The Toronto Telegram featured a column and cartoon by Greg Clark and "Jimmy" Frise called "Birdseye Center". The stories Clark wrote were supposed to have taken place around Seagrave, Ontario and the cartoons drawn by Frise always featured a Sawbill Duck that no one could hit.

*A doctor walking into a person's home carrying his medical bag always posed the question "I wonder who's sick in there?"

*We were taught the proper method of holding a writing instrument such as a slate pencil, lead pencil or a pen.

*Baseball catchers used a "decker". Other members of the team used a mitt or glove.

*"Pat" Campbell opened "Campbell's Flower Shop" in Minden.

*Bruce MacArthur operated a funeral home in the house on the South-East corner of Russell and Lindsay Sts.

Later on he also conducted an ambulance service from the same location.
