Remember when:

*The Lindsay Central Exhibition was purported to be the largest exhibition in the world during the Second World War.

*The only diving board we had as kids was a car tire handing by a rope from a tree over our favourite swimming hole.

*Bolo Bats were the rage among youngsters.

*How we loved to hold a magnifying glass between the sun and a piece of paper until the latter burst into flames.

*We would toss a baseball bat into the air, catch it and then with the opposing team captain would alternate hand-over-hand to reach the handle grip to decide who would have first at bat or choice of player.

*Kids would take a golf ball to Mr. Meehan, an avid golfer, and give it to him for an admission ticket to a matinee at the Academy.

*The sun never set on the British Empire.

*Kids had so much fun playing all kinds of sports before structured activities came into being.
