Zig-zag headbands were a common sight. These were made out of thin newspaper and/or cellophane.

Mac & Joan Ross reminded us that the bands were quite an attractive item.

You could get a road map at any gas station just for the asking. I recently picked up a couple at a cost of $2.95 each.

A train load of Lindsay students, accompanied by their teachers, were taken to Riverdale Park in Toronto in 1939 to see King George & Queen Elizabeth.

The Watchman Warder printed the following under the caption "Who Figured This One Out"

Whose principles must prevail to make a lasting peace?

Take the first letter of each name: CHRIST.

Thanks to my wife's scrapbook for this one.
