Notes:
Dr. George Wesley Hall was interested in science (mechanical engineering) and this lead to an interest in the automobile.

”My father had an automobile around 1902, with the engine under the seat, and it was cranked from the side of the car (see picture). It was driven by a chain from the engine to the wheels and steered by a single bar or handle and had coal oil head lights.“ George C.R. Hall's words.
