- Dr. George C.R. Hall studying at the University of Toronto during his second year of medical school. A second year tradition was to smoke a pipe. A digital copy of this photo was provided by Marylou Hall as part of a presentation on her family.
- "Having for two years absorbed hundreds of lectures in basic science, I entered third year and this led to hospital clinics at Sick Children’s, Toronto General and St. Mike’s. I was now able to see the light ahead and attack my problems with greater zeal."
“I enjoyed St. Mike’s since it was near a popular restaurant where I could drink all the buttermilk I wanted for five cents.” George C.R. Hall’s words.
