Notes:
Dr. George C.R. Hall was fascinated with technology. Technology in this era was the short wave radio (ham radio) and George C.R. Hall obtained his ham radio license in 1934. He communicated with people worldwide, using his call number VE3NC. His interest extended beyond learning the code to the construction of the radio. (He had numerous technical books on how to build a short wave radio.)
