Dr. George C.R. Hall continued to be active in the community, for example, providing scholarships/awards to the students of Lindsay Collegiate & Vocational Institute.

In 1983, Dr. George C.R. Hall was recognized at a special luncheon in Toronto as being the oldest living Grand Master of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
