Page 87: Anderson, Ross

Pilot Officer Ross Anderson of the R.A.F. was killed in action October 18, 1939. Pilot Officer Anderson whose home was formerly Cannington, Ontario, went to England to train prior to the outbreak of hostilities. He served gallantly in the opening days of the war and was one of the first of this war's heroes from this district. He was the only son of Deputy Sheriff & Mrs. John Anderson of Whitby and had one sister, Mary, who works in Toronto.
