The carnival held in the skating rink here last Friday evening under the auspices of the village band, was well attended, and the costumes of the masqueraders were good. The weather was perfect, and a number of young people drove in from Coboconk and other places. The prize for the best lady's costume was won by Miss Nora Wilson and the gentleman's prize by Mr. H. W. Morden. In the mile race there were several starters, but Artie Boyce was the only one who finished, none of the others being able to stand the pace. Following is a list of those in costume:
