Mr. W. Jack, drover, on Friday shipped a large drove of fine porkers for the Montreal market. They were purchased in Ops and Manvers.
Another large order has been received from a Toronto house by Messrs. Wallace & Dundas of the Lindsay woollen mills. This time the goods are satinettes. They have no difficulty in selling their manufactures after they are known.
Mr. J. H. Dunsford's new steam yacht the "Water Witch" passed inspection Tuesday last. She is 45 feet in length and nine feet in width, and has made Sturgeon Point from Lindsay in one hour and two minutes. This was at the rate of twelve miles an hour. For the balance of this season she will run between Lindsay, Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon, and next season from Lindsay to Bridgenorth.--Post.
