An Unnatural Curiosity
Fenelon Falls Gazette, 13 Nov 1880, p. 2, column 3
Full Text

In Lindsay last Wednesday, our attention was called to a pig which had just been purchased by Messrs. Spratt and Killen, and was lying with some others on the sidewalk in front of the store. The animal's left front foot had the appearance, at casual glance, of being double; though close inspection showed that there were only the usual number of hind claws, or heels, or whatever it is proper to call them. But there were four perfectly formed toes, the extra ones being nearly as large as the others, so that the single foot, when the animal was alive and standing, must have presented the appearance, from a front view, of two feet placed close together.
