RED SCHOOL-VERULAM.

Special to the Warder.

HYMENEAL.-The residence of Mr.

Wm. McGregor was, on the evening of

Wednesday, the 15th inst., the scene of

a very happy event, it being the mar-

riage of his daughter, Maria, to Mr.

George Carey, of this place. The Rev.

Mr. Anderson, presbyterian clergymen of

Bobcaygeon, tied the nuptial knot very

securely, they say, at six o'clock in the

evening. Mr. Calbert Carey, brother of

the groom, assisted him through the

trying ordal; while Miss Sarah Mc-

Gregor performed a like service for her

sister, the bride. This first and very im-

portant part of the programme being

over, the party sat down to a sumptuous

tea, after which games and plays occu-

pied the time until about midnight when

a very pleasant party broke up. The

bride received many nice presents from

her numerous friends around. The happy

pair go this week to their new home in

Harvey. Their many friends wish them

every good wish and true happiness

through life.
