McRae, John Norman

Captain.

He was with the 29th Regiment Highland Light Infantry of Canada and enlisted with 34th Battalion as adjutant. When that battalion broke up in England he held important positions with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in England.

In 1917 he became Intelligence Officer of a famous western Ontario unit in France.

He won the Military Cross at the Battle of Arras.

He was attached to the 34th Battalion on September 20, 1915.

He was born in Canada and his next of kin is Mrs. Jean S. MacRae, Galt, Ontario.
