A white index card containing name, rank and military history of a soldier of Waterloo County. Card also includes a photograph and a red cross.
Notes
Private Stanley Rogers was born on August 16, 1883 in Stretford, Lancashire, England. He was the son of Joseph and Emma Rogers of Sale, Cheshire, England. His wife was Minnie Rogers and resided at 290 East Main St., Galt, Ontario. He immigrated to Canada in 1910.

He enlisted in Galt on February 7, 1916. At the time of his enlistment, he was a labourer, married and a member of the Church of England. He had also served in the military in England (2nd Cheshire). His regimental service number was 730487.

He served with the 4th Battalion, Canadian Infantry in France. He was killed in action at Farbus Wood during the Battle of Vimy Ridge on April 10, 1917.

His name is recorded on the Vimy Memorial in Vimy, France.

Was attached to the Imperial Forces and enlisted with the 111th Battalion at Galt, February 7, 1916.

He was born in England and his next of kin is Mrs. Minnie Rogers, 290 East Main Street, Galt, Ontario.
