A white index card containing the name, rank and military history of a soldier of Waterloo County. Card also includes a photograph and a red cross.
Notes:
Private Louis Peter Steckenreiter was born on April 9, 1884 in Bridgeport, Ontario. He was the son of Nicholas Steckenreiter and Helene Frank.

He enlisted on March 2, 1916 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. At the time of his enlistment, he was a clerk, single and a Christian Scientist. His regimental service number was 782182.

He was killed in action during the Battle of Vimy Ridge on April 10, 1917.

He was buried in the Canadian Cemetery No.2 in Neuville-St. Vaast, France.

Steckenreiter. Louis P.

Private.

Enlisted with the 128th Battalion of Moose Jaw, Sask. in February 1916. He went overseas in August 1916 and to France in January 1917 with 50th Battalion.

He was killed in action April 10, 1917 at Vimy Ridge.

Born April 9, 1887 at Bridgeport, Ontario.
