A white index card containing name, rank and military history of a soldier of Waterloo County. Card also includes a photograph and a red cross.
Notes
Private Arthur White was born on April 1,1890 in Hull, England. He was the son of James White and Kate Newton. He married Lizzie Hutchinson on May 17, 1913 in Hamilton, Ontario.

He enlisted on January 18, 1916 in Galt with the 111th Battalion. At the time of his enlistment, he was a machinist and a Baptist. His residence was given as 158 Francis Street in Galt. His regimental service number was 730383.

Overseas, he served with the Royal Canadian Regiment. He was killed in action during the Battle of Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917.

He was buried in the La Chaudiere Military Cemetery in Vimy, France.

Private.

Enlisted with 111th Battalion on January 18, 1916.

Baptist.

Born in Hull, England but lived in Galt for four years before the war broke out. He was married and has two children. He was killed in action April 9, 1917 at the age of twenty-seven.

His widow, Mrs. Lizzie White, lives at 28 Tate St., Galt, Ontario.
