Description
Black and white photograph of Kitchener City Hall, decorated for Christmas, in daylight. There is snow on the ground and two persons can be seen walking to the left of the cenotaph, which is visible in the foreground.
Notes
This building was the City's second city hall. It was designed by W.H.E. Schmalz and B.A. Jones. It opened on 15 November 1924. It was demolished in 1973 to make way for the construction of Market Square. The clock tower has been saved, restored, and erected in Victoria Park.
Inscriptions
The phrase "Season's Greetings" in a Christmas light decoration, is barely visible across the front of the building.
