CENTENNIAL MOTIF FOR FLORAL CLOCK
Visitors by the thousands have been snapping pictures of the Ontario Hydro floral clock with its colorful Centennial design — probably one of the most spectacular designs in the clock's history. Workmen labored for three weeks to perfect the coats of arms of Canada's 10 provinces in their multitude of colors, from the setting sun of British Columbia to the lion of Prince Edward Island.
A sketch of each province's coat-of-arms was laid out in the brown base earth and then the plants were fitted around the outlines.
