Description:
Sepia coloured photograph of the old fire station located in the Court House. The fire fighters in full dress uniforms and helmets pose in the front of this building. In the middle there is a hose reel with a decorative cloth and flower bouquet on top.
The picture frame is wooden and ornate, painted gold.

Notes:
The firemen moved to their second fire hall in 1842 when the Court House was built where they slept and the equipment was stored in the Court House's lower level. The third fire hall was built in 1910 and the Niagara Fire Department moved from the Court House to a new location in 1911.
Photo probably taken between 1900 (the hose reel was first used in early 1900) and 1911 (before moving to a new location).
