"Growing up in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Wally Dick excelled in every sport he participated in. Through high school, university, and numerous senior leagues throughout Canada, he epitomized perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication, achieving numerous honors and acclaim. While focusing on fastball and pitching for 37 years, Wally won Canadian Championships with both the St. Catherines Teepees (1968) and the Richmond Hill Dynes (1973). He also made an astonishing imprint in basketball, becoming the second leading scorer in Brock University's history and winning their male athlete of the year in 1969. Now retired to coaching and refereeing in Alberta. Wally is still able to pass along his wonderful spirit in the pursuit of excellence in sports."
