ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY

The Office of Vice-President, Administration is the direct descendant of the former Director of Residences, Facility Operations and Human Resources which then became the Office of the Associate Vice-President, Operations and Human Resources. The Vice-President, Administration has pan-organizational responsibilities overseeing the Office of Student Affairs, Human Resources, Accounting, Information Technologies, and Facilities Management.

SCOPE AND CONTENTS

The records for the Office of Vice-President, Administration are arranged in two series:
1) Administration/Operations;
2) Human Resources.
The records include memoranda, job descriptions, and the Staff Manual.

St. Jerome's University is located in Waterloo, Ontario, and is situated in the University of Waterloo. It was founded as St. Jerome's College in 1865 by the Congregation of the Resurrection. In 1959, it was granted university status and changed its name to the University of St. Jerome's College. It has been federated with the University of Waterloo since 1960. In 1998, the name was officially changed to St. Jerome's University.
