Description
Black and white negative depicting a photograph of the residence of James Tweedie, known as Broadfield farm. The house was photographed from the front and there are a number of people standing in front of the house. There are a number of trees on the property and a pathway that leads to the front door is visible.
Notes
This brick house was built in 1845 on lot 29 of Rossland Road near Cochrane Street in Whitby Township. The farm, known as Broadfield, was settled in 1835 by James Tweedie (1803-1857). The house was demolished in 1993.
