Joining Leslie's as a young man in 1921, he assisted Mr. Leslie as a clerk, buyer and bookkeeper until 1954 when he went to Lindsay as the manager of the new branch store. Art retired in 1968 after 47 years of service and now resides with his wife Margret at 189 George Street Hilton (Mac) McBurney While Mac McBurney wasn't with the store as long as Art Hill, he made a valuble contribution to the organization, particularly as manager of the children's department. Retired for some years Mac and Mrs. McBurney both reside at Montgomery Lodge. 1 Annie Watkin Annie worked with founder William Leslie when the store first opened in 1919. Originally she had worked at the Vermilyea Shoe Store with Mr. Leslie but when he made the move to start his business, she moved with him. Mrs. Watkin enjoys good health and lives at 217 Bridge Street East. V ^
